Young dancers take on Wayne McGregor

Working with a renowned choreographer like Wayne McGregor certainly brings great excitement to young artists, but also its share of challenges. Backstage, we met two dancers involved in McGregor's production of Jocasta's Line: Anaïs Touret (France), who joined the Norwegian National Ballet’s youth company in 2016 before moving to the main company, and Giuseppe Ventura (Italy), who joined the junior company in 2023 and is now starting his first season with the main ensemble.

As the relatives learn that Buoso has left his fortune to the monastery, Simone (Giacomo Prestia), La Ciesca (Laura Fleur), Marco (Bryan Sala), Betto (Manuel Fuentes), Zita (Elena Zilio), Nella (Holly Brown), Rinuccio (Iván Ayón Rivas) and Gherardo (Mikeldi Atxalandabaso) imagine the monks taking Buoso’s money and enjoying rich food while the family get nothing. They see the friars getting fat and laughing at them, showing how upset they are about losing the inheritance.
