A Young Artist's Journey – Tenor Leonardo Sánchez

OperaVision supports emerging artists as they embark on careers in opera and dance. In this two part short documentary, we follow the young tenor Leonardo Sánchez on his very personal journey to the stage, supported along the way by OperaVision-partner Opera for Peace who commissioned this fascinating insight in his influences, highs, lows and big breaks.

Part One

Part 1 traces young tenor Léonardo Sanchez’s early influences and his big break winning the Concurso Nacional de Canto Carlo Morelli, Mexico’s premier singing competition.

Part Two

Part 2 sees the international blossoming of young tenor Léonardo Sanchez’s career, from Zurich Opera Studio, through lockdown to his forthcoming debut in New York’s Carnegie Hall in May 2024.
