After several years organising this ceremony abroad, Germany’s Opera Oscars returns home. OperaVision will stream the event live from Theater Regensburg, selected ‘Best Opera Company’ in this year’s edition. Who will be the 19 other winners?

The Oper! Awards are Germany’s only international opera prize, presented annually during a gala to the best creatives of the international opera scene, working on or behind the stage. As detailed below, the awards are presented across 20 categories by a jury of music journalists. Expected guests include leading singers Cecilia Bartoli, Jonathan Tetelman, Ermonela Jaho, Nadezhda Karyazina, Erin Morley and Miina-Liisa Värelä, alongside directors Barrie Kosky and Christof Loy.
