Ruiz (Conor Prendiville) rushes in to warn Manrique (Eduardo Niave) that his mother has been captured and sentenced to death. Torn between his love for Leonore (Lydia Grindatto) and his filial duty, he decides to leave everything behind to rush to her aid. In a final burst of resistance, he calls his men to take up arms to try and save her, at the risk of his own life.

In this dialogue, Leonore (Lydia Grindatto) confides in her attendant, Inés (Jade Phoenix), about a mysterious stranger with whom she has fallen in love. While Inés tries to warn her of the dangers of this passion, Leonora chooses death over giving up this love.

The opera Tiger Hunters by Beskorovainyi, Humaniuk, and Reshitilov concludes with Hryhorii (Oleksii Kyryllov) and Natalka (Kateryna Yasenchuk) fleeing toward freedom. As the couple leaves everything behind to escape the NKVD, their family’s voices rise alongside theirs in a stirring wave of solidarity. Despite the perilous journey ahead, this finale stands as a powerful testament that hope and love can ultimately triumph over fear.

Despite the NKVD’s repression, a prisoner (Anna Kirsch) intones a Christmas prayer to support her fellow captives. Her voice rises and eventually rallies Natalka (Kateryna Yasenchuk), Mariika (Viktoriia Busel), Hryhorii (Oleksii Kyryllov), and the rest of the prisoners. This simple prayer then transforms into a powerful anthem of liberty and collective resistance, defying their tormentors.

In this scene from Hamlet by Ambroise Thomas, two gravediggers (Janusz Nosek and Maciej Kwaśnikowski) sing while digging a grave and reflect on how everyone - rich or poor, young or old - will end up there. Their song says that love, wealth and glory are temporary; only simple pleasures like wine remain.

Clorinda (Ellada Koller) and Tisbe (Verena Kronbichler) admire themselves by singing about their beauty, practicing elegant dance steps, adjusting their appearance and arguing about how they look.
