O. is an international festival celebrating opera, music and theatre, held at various locations across Rotterdam. Its mission is to make the art of opera accessible and meaningful to a wide and diverse audience.

O. brings together creators and audiences from both the Netherlands and abroad, collaboratively shaping an annual festival that takes place not only in well-established venues but also in a variety of unexpected locations. At the heart of this initiative is the human voice, with its power to deeply move and resonate with audiences. O. aims to innovate opera, drawing inspiration from existing traditions while also pushing beyond them.

Muziektheater Transparant is an international production house specializing in music theatre with a focus on the human voice. Grounded in the expressive power of voice, an innovative approach to repertoire, mixed media and a strong commitment to artistic excellence, Muziektheater Transparant produces high-quality and unconventional performances. These productions are shared with diverse audiences both in the Netherlands and abroad.

O. and Muziektheater Transparant are structural partners in supporting projects. Guy Coolen serves as the artistic director of O. and as the artistic and general manager of Muziektheater Transparant. A key principle that unites both organisations is their shared dedication to supporting and providing opportunities for emerging artists.
