This concert showcases the next generation of emerging singers supported by Génération Opéra in France. Recorded in September 2025 at the Opéra de Paris, this concert offers the opportunity to see talented singers in a programme which combines familiar repertoire with 12 mélodies - twelve songs commissioned from emerging composers especially for this evening.
Founded in 1970, Génération Opéra's mission is to promote the discovery and professional integration of artists in the world of opera, particularly young opera singers. It provides singers with a pathway between higher education and a professional career by offering numerous visibility initiatives. Génération Opéra supports young opera singers in three main ways, through competitions, the promotion of Génération Opéra artists, and co-productions.
