For two weeks each summer, Accademia Rossiniana Alberto Zedda attracts the brightest belcanto stars of the future to Pesaro as part of the Rossini Opera Festival. This final concert by the participants in the Accademia is the culmination of two weeks work focusing on the interpretation of Rossini’s operas led by Ernesto Palacio the Festival’s Sovrintendente, who works alongside its artistic director, Juan Diego Flórez.

This is where young artists learn to sing Rossini

Every Summer, OperaVision travels to Pesaro – Rossini's birthplace – to showcase the promising young voices of the Accademia Rossiniana ‘Alberto Zedda’. Maestro Ernesto Palacio, Superintendent of Rossini Opera Festival and Director of the Accademia, presents this intensive programme that prepares 19 young artists this year to master the Rossinian style and launch their careers.

Partir, o ciel, desio

Rossini Opera Festival presents the well-known Il viaggio a Reims by Gioacchino Rossini, which is performed every year in a double cast by the young singers of the Accademia Rossiniana "Alberto Zedda". Charles X of France was to be crowned and the jet set of the time stayed at the spa Il Giglio d'Or. Among them the Contessa de Folleville (Vittoriana de Amicis), who is very upset at the loss of her luxurious attire.
