Neue Stimmen 2024 Finals

Liz Mohn Foundation's Neue Stimmen singing competition has established itself as one of the world's most important events for promoting emerging talent. The names of former winners such as Vesselina Kasarova, Franco Fagioli, Marina Rebeka and Elsa Dreisig are impressive testimony to the fact that those who win here usually find themselves on the world's great stages within a few years. In numerous pre-selections around the globe - from New York to London, from Amsterdam to Vienna or Cape Town - the expert scouts of Neue Stimmen search for the best young singers worldwide.

Streamed live for the first time on OperaVision, the finals of the competition take place in Gütersloh, the competition's hometown. The selected finalists have the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of a prominent jury, which includes chairman Dominique Meyer, artistic director of La Scala in Milan, Brian Dickie, former general director of the Chicago Opera Theater, Sophie Joyce, casting director of the Opéra National de Paris, Sophie de Lint, director of the Dutch National Opera, and Bernd Loebe, artistic director of the Frankfurt Opera. The Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra is conducted by Jonathan Darlington.
